Lately Eli has been asking, "What does ____ mean?" about everything.
What does "read" mean? What does "yellow" mean? What does "after" mean? What does "snack" mean? And on and on and on.....
This happened tonight before bed while he was saying his prayer:
(hands clasped tight and eyes squeezed shut) "Dear God....."
(hands still clasped and eyes peeking up at me) "What does 'dear God' mean mommy?....
(hands raised above his head incredulously) "GOD is not a DEER!!!?"
It was so funny and led to a very interesting bed time conversation!
I love this age!
