Getting Settled

We've been here a little bit over a week and this pregnant lady is in a mad rush to make this house (ahem, apartment...) a home!

Here are a few pics of what our apartment has been going through:

New, hopefully spill proof, couch!

Just a small snapshot of the chaos!

All the washed baby clothes are hung or in drawers! Phew! Less than three months to go!

Eli's fall clothes hung and ready!
The boy's room with beds assembled!

Our huge closet, somewhat organized

My brain has been more than just a little bit jumbled lately. Between unpacking, trying to find a new OB and pediatrician, tying up loose ends from Birmingham, watching/entertaining Eli during the day, planning his second birthday party, and all of the normal day to day activities on top of all that I am amazed that I'm keeping my head above water.

Oh and did I mention that I'm 7 months pregnant?! This is the third summer in a row that we've moved and I've been pregnant... I guess you could say I'm a pro by now!

Luckily the move to Knoxville has been eased by being able to fulfill some cravings that have been a long time coming... Lenny's Chicken Philly Sub and Chocolate Glazed Munchkins (both of which were no where to be found in Birmingham!)

Welcome to Knoxville

Well, less than two weeks ago we decided we were moving.... and here we are. We are officially residents of Tennessee; Knoxville to be more precise.

It has been a whirlwind of a month with a lot of quick little events that led us to Vol country. From deciding we needed an immediate change from Daniel's awful work environment, to being (very) hopeful about a job opportunity in Atlanta, to the letdown of finding out that there were better candidates, to being offered an interview at his dad's company, to accepting... All within the month. August has flown by!

A little over a week ago we spent ONE day looking for apartments and picking one out.
We literally finished packing up this morning.
We drove in today and put down the deposit.
Here we are.

 Welcome to Knoxville, right?!
